Hello readers,
Today I wanted to share a couple of new inks that I was fortunate enough to get recently. These inks are not meant for fountain pens, but instead dip pens. I have a glass dip pen that I bought from Amazon a while back that I use for my ink swatches and for some quick writing with the Inkvent inks last year. I was looking in a craft store recently and found some inks that I really wanted to try. The brand I am trying out is Dr. Ph. Martins, and both inks are from their Iridescent line of inks. Now on to the inks for today!

The first ink that I tried is labeled as Iridescent Blue. This is a nice bright ink that has lots of blue shimmer in it. This ink even seems to layer itself on the page while writing with it. I have not written too much wirh this ink, but I am looking forward to writing more with it. In many ways this ink reminds me of Diamine Glacier from the last Diamine Inkvent calender. This brand claims to be a water-proof one, and it definitely delivers on that promise.

The second ink that I got is called Jade. I think this is a very nice shade of green, that has a lot of green shimmer in it. I am reminded of Pelikan Edelstein Jade, but a little brighter. That could just be because of all of the shimmer in it. Once again, this ink is completely water-proof. These inks do still take a moment to dry, so there is still the chance of smearing for us lefties. I am probably going to save this ink for the holidays, or other special occassions, just because I like it so much.

That pretty much sums up my initial thoughts on these inks. I hope you have enjoyed this slight step away from fountain pens, but is still close in the way of stationery. My next post is going to be my monthly inked post, and that should be coming in the next few days. Until then my friends. Stay happy and healthy, and keep on learning!

Those are both beautiful colors! I don’t have a dip pen so I wouldn’t be able to use them, but I would be tempted to get some just to look at!
